Maybe Not, But Do These Things First Before Quiting
Transcript from the video:
I just published this blog article about social media and if it’s right for your business. And one thing in the article is the downsides of social media. This is Your Marketing Minute from Forward Push, and today I wanted to talk to you about those downsides.
There are probably two main things that small business owners fear when it comes to social media, 1 is creating unique content. How as a small business, would you create unique content? Well, the answer is that you definitely can. Your business is unique.
Certainly, there are people selling and doing the same things you do, but they’re not you, so you can create unique content. Secondly, small business owners fear, and they’ve heard that “Hey, my post will not be shown,” and certainly that is true when it comes to Facebook, and we are seeing it on Instagram that organic reach is dwindling, but there is a way around it, and you do have to pay for it.
It’s running ads or boosting your post to make sure that they are seen in front of the right people.
So, social media while it might be free to start your profile, it certainly isn’t free to make sure your audience is seeing it right.
And that’s called advertising.
So those are just the two reasons that small business owners sort of fear social media. I gave you some reasons to get around them, and I hope you do participate on social media for your small business. This has been Your Marketing Minute from Forward Push.
