Apple’s New iPad 5 Coming Soon
After launching two new iPhone models, Apple isn’t done with making our lives better and solving problems we didn’t know we had. Tuesday, in San Francisco, the hometown tech giant is set to announce some new products to keep this holiday season interesting.
Here’s what we’re guessing we’ll see:
iPad 5: The Internet has been filled with leaked photos and videos that reveal the new iPad has been slimmed down to match the thickness of the current iPad Mini, while still having it’s 9.7 inch Retina display. The most recent leaked photos show chamfered edges and a reflective Apple logo on the back. We’re betting the new model will include the Touch ID fingerprint sensing technology the new phones have.
Second Generation iPad Mini: The market is flooded with mini tablets and Apple has fallen behind due to the resolution of the original Mini. Look for Apple to introduce a Retina display model to compete with the likes of Google’s Nexus 7.
iPods: This is the time of year that Apple always updates the product that started it all, the iPod. With the success of the iPhone, we wonder how long they will continue to update the Touch and Nano. Is anyone really excited about this? We’re not.
Long shots: We say don’t hold your breath for an iWatch or iTelevision, but expect some type of upgrade to Apple TV. Apple’s invitation to the event hinted a new product and the rumor mill is circulating with talk of an iPad Pro. Whatever the case, we’ll be glued to the screens of our MacBook Airs Tuesday starting at 10am.
