SoundBoard 2019 is coming quickly (March 21-22), and we’re looking forward to a variety of sessions. With six tracks, from analyst to organizers, there’s something for marketers of all experience levels. To get you ready for the conference, we spoke with some of the speakers to get insights into what we can expect from their session.
Bobby Kircher and Creating the Perfect Website
Does a perfect website exist? It does if you come to hear and learn at Bobby Kircher’s session. Bobby founded Papaya Internet in the early 2000s, making him one of the OG pay-per-click advertisers and SEO experts. He shares, “My talk is about website structure and how having a good site structure is good for visitors and SEO. Attendees will learn how to structure a website to help visitors navigate to important content while also helping search engines better understand what the website is about and improve search traffic.”

Brian Peters and Creating a Growing Podcast
As podcasting continues to grow, finding the growth you want is becoming even more challenging. Brian Peters of Buffer, is sharing the strategy that has helped grow their podcast significantly in the course of a year. Including their biggest tip: Instagram Story Ads.
He explains, “One of the single biggest podcast growth levers we’ve utilized over the past year is Instagram Stories Ads. Using a few simple tactics, we were able to grow our weekly listeners from 8,000 to more than 26,000 in just over one year.
“In my session, I’ll be providing marketers and podcasters with the exact steps we took to make this happen as well as other podcast growth techniques that have helped make the Science of Social Media a top 200 Business & Marketing Podcast on iTunes.”
April Wier and Creating the Perfect Sales Pitch
As the founder of Sugar Five Design, April Wier knows how important sales are for creative agencies. And how difficult it can be. She remarks, “So many talented creative professionals never see their dreams realized because they have trouble selling their services. I believe most sales troubles come from a fear of rejection. I’ll be helping the audience get rid of that junk, once and for all.”

Mathew Sweezy and the Future of Marketing
Another speaker we’re excited about is Mathew Sweezy, who’s the Principle of Marketing Insights for Salesforce. As someone who regularly works with some of the world’s top brands, we’re excited to hear what he has to say about marketing’s future.
Mathew shares, “I’m so excited to be speaking at SoundBoard this year. This is such a powerful way for Athens to be exposed to the best and brightest marketing ideas that are often only reserved for megacities like NYC, and San Fransisco. I’m so excited to be able to share my ideas with a town I love so much.”

Colleen Jones and Building a Powerful Brand Voice
As Head of Content at MailChimp, Colleen Jones knows the power of a brand’s voice. She’s sharing about maturing a brand voice and how to change a voice without fracturing it.
Colleen is also the founder of Content Science, a content strategy and intelligence firm. Based on her experience with Content Science, she wrote the book The Content Advantage.

Peter Manca and Integrating Strategy with Software
Peter Manca is the Principal Sales Engineer at Hubspot, making his session one of our personal favorites. As the person integrating inbound marketing traits with sales strategies, we’re looking forward to hearing Peter’s insights.
He’ll be sharing on how to maximize conversational marketing and Facebook within your marketing strategy, which should be an essential piece of your 2019 social media goals.
