7 Tactics To Use Now For Your Marketing

This is Your Marketing Minute from Forward Push, and today I wanted to talk to you about what you should be doing for your marketing. As a small business owner, it is so overwhelming to try to figure out what you should do.

So today, I’m going to give you my list of the things that typically a small business is doing for their marketing. This list is really the basics of what you should be doing. It doesn’t mean that you need to be doing everything. But I just want to make sure you know about everything that’s available. So let’s jump right in. There are 7 tactics that you can use when it comes to your marketing, and the first one is going to seem quite obvious.

It’s your website, but take a look at your website.

Do you have calls to action on it when someone comes to your website?

Are you clearly defining what you want them to do? Is it then you want them to call you fill out a form, download a guide or an e-book. You have to make it very clear on your website. Number 2, are you on social media? Are you using the power of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn to spread your message and make sure that prospects and people that are looking for what you do can find you.

Number 3 and number 4, how are you reaching out to people? Are you using an email newsletter or are you sending text messages 2 great ways to stay top of mind in front of prospects and your current clients letting them know what you’re up to.

Do you have any specials, any news services, any information you can share? Email newsletters and text messages are a great place to do those things.

And number 5, content marketing. This includes blogging, making videos, creating content that prospects and your clients can read, look at, engage with. This is what you want to do. You want to have this content on your website with clear calls to action so that people know what they’re supposed to do.

And coming in at number 6, SEO –  search engine optimization. When you’re putting out this content, are you optimizing it for search results? You’re spending all this time, all this investment on creating content.

Is it going to be found in a Google search? That’s what SEO is and it’s something you need to be doing. And the last one is getting your content, your website in front of people that are searching. And you do that through paid advertising. So do you have a paid advertising plan, not only for pay per click ads on Google, but what about social media? That’s number 7. So there you go. 7 tactics that any small business can and should be using when it comes to their marketing.
