This is your Marketing Minute from Forward Push, and I’ve got some news from you from social analytics firm, Quintly. They just finished up looking at 94,000 Facebook business pages. And they went through all 94,000 Facebook pages and found this, distribution by post type. So what are businesses posting on Facebook? Well, 55% of businesses are posting links, 25% are posting images, 14% are posting videos, and 2% are posting status updates. So when you look at the distribution of posts and how businesses are posting to Facebook, that’s what you’ve got. The majority are posting links, then images, then videos, then social status updates. But here’s the thing that you need to know, video gets 65% more engagement than images, and images get 105% more engagement than status updates.
