Three Things You Can Do on Your Google My Business Profile This is your Marketing Minute from Forward Push. I’m Marc Apple and I just finished setting up a new client’s Google My Business profile. Have you done this for your business? If not, we’re gonna talk about how to do that at then end of this video. But first I wanted to share this question that this customer asked me. They said, “Why are we taking so much time “to make sure that this profile is complete?” And I thought to myself, you know what? I’ve heard this question before, but phrased differently. It’s always in the phrase of, “How do I get my business to show in the Maps section “or when someone does a search, “all those businesses that appear at the top?” And one of the key things you can do is have a complete profile. There’s a couple other things that factor in on what businesses show when people do a search like that. It’s the proximity to your business’ location. Which means that you wanna have a physical address listed in your Google My Business profile. So, one is proximity, second is the physical address, and third is proper Google My Business category association. So you wanna make sure that your top service is your primary category association. And the fourth thing you can do is make sure that your subcategories relate to your primary category. So, for instance for Forward Push, we’re a marketing agency, subcategory would be website development. So, if you do not have a Google My Business profile, here’s what I can do for you.
