Yelp! You either love it or you hated. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that was kind of just iffy about Yelp. This is Your Marketing Minute from Forward Push and I just got off the phone with the client who basically said, “Don’t ever mention them again to me.” And this came after I was sharing with him 4 reasons that I think you might want to consider why Yelp is a good advertising vehicle for your business.
Now put the feelings aside about whether you like them or not, or the rumors you’ve heard, or maybe how they’ve treated you. This is just some facts on advertising on Yelp and what it actually does.
When you advertise on Yelp, it puts you in front of people that are searching for your category. They’re actively looking for what you do in your location and having your advertisement come up in front of them is a good thing.
Secondly, when you advertise with Yelp, your ads appear through out their network, right? So it’s not only when someone is searching for your category but you might be seen in other places as well.
Third, they’ve got a great analytics platform. You actually can see what’s working and what’s not working and adjust your ads to work better.
And lastly, one of the reasons that I like using Yelp ads for my clients is that it includes a revenue estimate tool. This actually allows you to see how much money you can be making from your ads so that you can actually track it to see if the ads are working for you.
