Number 1 it starts, this might seem obvious, but to a lot of people it’s not. And it’s start with a marketing plan.
If you don’t know where you want to go, you’re never going to figure out how are you going to get there. So you’ve got to start with a marketing plan. The second marketing tactic is email marketing.
Yes, I understand your inbox is probably filled with spam emails, but if you are putting out great content, you will not be considered a spammer. People will enjoy opening your emails and learning from you while you are sharing about your business.
So in 2021, consider doing email marketing number 3 ties back into that email marketing, privacy. Make sure that you’re collecting people’s emails, their names, that it is kept private.
You’re not sharing this information with anyone and assure your users that you are following privacy practices.
This is a great thing for 2021.
The number 4 marketing idea for your business for 2021 is collaborate. More and more people are realizing that you just can’t do it all.
So collaborate with other businesses that can fill the gaps in your business and what you can do.
So, for instance, if you know you need to be on social media but you don’t have the time to write post, you don’t have the time to make videos, you certainly don’t have the time to create pretty graphics, hire someone to do it, collaborate with them so that you can get the job done. And the number 5 marketing idea for 2021 is just look and see what’s available to you. Technology has become so easy to use that if you have an idea of something you want to do, I can bet someone’s already invented a program or some software to do that.
So just know as we move on, technology is getting better and better and it’s also getting easier to use.
The number 6 marketing idea for 2021 is having a CRM. When you’re collecting all these leads, where are they going? They should be going into your CRM so that you can follow up with them.
You can get a simple CRM that is just tracking who’s in your database and you can get some really great expansive CRM that’s going to track everything happening on your website. When people come back, what they click on, etc, etc.. Find the best CRM for you.
In 2021, we’re predicting that companies are going to go beyond Facebook and Instagram as their main social media tools. I think we’re going to see a lot more businesses gravitating to LinkedIn to Tik-Tok and really who knows what’s next. But that’s where businesses are going to be in 2021. And the number 8 marketing idea for 2021 is making sure that you’ve got your social proof foundation in place. What do I mean by social proof? It means that if someone finds out about your business, they’re given a referral word of mouth and they go to your website or they go to your Facebook page.
Does everything look the same? Is it complete? Do you have great reviews? Are you able to make it so that someone can easily find out your phone number, your email are a way to get in contact with you.
That’s all about social proof and it’s going to be super important in 2021. The number 9 reason to make sure that your marketing is solid in 2021 is personalization. More and more people want to know that you know who they are and I’m not just talking about privacy here.
I’m talking about when you go to a website, does it greet you by name? What about in your email marketing? Are you using first names in it? Personalization. It’s also about making sure that the content that your ideal customers and your ideal clients can find on your website make everything about the user and number 10. Let’s just jump into design work. We talked about not having time to make social media post and this is really what this tip is all about.
Number 10, quality design is no longer optional and I would say this goes beyond design. Actually, anything you do, you’ve got to step up the quality.
So make sure that if you’re doing selfie videos that your microphone is in check that we can actually see you. Those are just a couple tips on the video side, on the graphic side, make sure that you’re using the right color palette, you’ve got a defined picture or a defined illustration.
Quality content is going to rule in 2021.
Now, let’s jump over to the SEO side. Let’s talk about featured snippets more and more. These are becoming popular as well. And a feature snippet is what you see when you ask Google a question and that little box comes up with the answer. You don’t even need to go to another website to find out the answer to your question. Google has already provided it in this box called a featured snippet. And we are seeing the rise of featured snippets.
It is now taking over and you need to be aware of it. And the last 2 marketing ideas for 2021 are one SMS text messaging. Yeah, people love text messaging. It is one of the best ways to make sure that your message is seen. So does your business have a text messaging strategy for 2021? If not, it’s definitely something to think about. And the last point is spreading education webinars.
