This Week in Higher Education – Friday, March 29, 2013

29Mar2013 Posted on March 29, 2013 Marc Apple School Marketing

This week in higher education we take a look at how universities are helping veterans return to school, watch shares of Apollo Group rise despite falling enrollments, and learn about an online petition that is being circulated to let congress know all students should have the ability to benefit.

Click on the story to read more:

  • Colleges across the country are scrambling to support a growing student veteran population that doesn’t fit in so neatly on campuses with other students.
  • News of the Apollo Group’s second-quarter profits and sales topping analysts’ estimates helped raise their stock 7.1% to $18.25, the most since December 2012, even as enrollments fell.
  • You can let the White House know that you support the reinstatement of the Ability to Benefit provision for the Title IV aid. The organizers are looking to obtain 100,000 online signatures in the next 30 days.
