Are Women on LinkedIn?

A new study from the Pew Research Center finds that women are the majority users of all social media except for LinkedIn, with 24% of online men using the site compared to 19% of online women.

As an active user of LinkedIn, I have not found this to be true in the groups that I participate in. 

Other findings from the study:

  • 76% of online women use Facebook, compared to 60% of online men
  • 20% of online women and 17% of online men use Instagram
  • 18% of online women use Twitter vs 17% of online men
  • Pinterest is where the women are, with 33% on online women pinning compared to 8% of online men
