New Facebook Group Badges

Have You Seen Them on Your Profile Yet?

Transcript from the video:

This is Your Marketing Minute from Forward Push and today I wanted to talk to you about Facebook Groups and Group Badges. This week, Facebook rolled out some new Group Badges, which you’re probably seeing if you participate in any Group on Facebook and here’s what they are.

So you know what they mean when you see these new badges within Facebook Groups. So the 1st 2 are an Administrator and a Moderator. Self explanatory on what we’ve got there, coming up next Rising Star. So this is gonna be a new member who’s starting to post, their posts are getting a lot of engagement, and a Rising Star Badge will show next to their name for about one month.

Then you’ve got a New Member. So if you join a Group next to your name, your badge will always say New Member for the 1st 2 weeks of being a member of that Group. Coming up next, these new Group Badges on Facebook Groups is Visual Storyteller. If you’re someone that’s posting images or videos to a group, you’ll get a badge of a Visual Storyteller, and it will stay there for about one month.

If you are a Conversation Starter, so you’re someone that’s not posting images or videos, but you are posting text based Posts, and they are seeing some engagement. You will get the Conversation Starter Badge, and that will last for one month.

So it is possible that you can have multiple Badges running at the same time. So if you’re someone that’s really active in a Group, maybe you’re posting videos, maybe you’re posting images, and you’re also a Conversation Starter. You possibly will see both of those Badges next to your name in your favorite Facebook Group.
