How To Get LinkedIn Right

LinkedIn Is For More Than Finding A Job

Transcript From The Video:

This is Your Marketing Minute from Forward Push and today I wanted to talk to you about LinkedIn. Now you probably know that LinkedIn is the place to go if you need a job. If you’re looking for a job or if you want to hire someone, but as a marketer are you using LinkedIn properly?

Let’s take a look. Let’s start off with some facts about LinkedIn.

Did you know that LinkedIn has 700 million active users?

That’s incredible. LinkedIn used to be thought of as this business networking site, but clearly it’s a social network.

Nowadays on LinkedIn, you can go live. You can post videos and even how you acknowledge somebody’s somebody’s post by the reactions you give recently have changed.

So now you can clap. Now you can show emotions. It’s a lot different than it used to be.

LinkedIn is becoming a social network.

So LinkedIn is definitely the place that marketers need to be.

And here are four reasons why.

Number 1, LinkedIn is the second most popular B2B platform right behind Facebook.

Number 2, when we talk about where business people are, it’s LinkedIn.

And using LinkedIn ads is a great way to get in front of them. Since January, 663 million people have been reached by LinkedIn ads.

Number 3, so with all these business people on LinkedIn, when’s the best time to reach them?

Well, here are the three days and times that you need to be posting on LinkedIn to reach this business audience. Post on Wednesday between eight a.m. and 10a.m. and then again at noon. On Thursdays, post at nine a.m.and between one and two p.m.. And finally on Friday, post at nine a.m..

So there you go. Three days and the times when it’s the best to reach business people on LinkedIn.

And number 4, why I love LinkedIn so much to reach a B2B audience is LinkedIn conversion.

How about this? It’s 3x the conversion rate of Google Ads.

So that means if you’re running ads on LinkedIn three times the conversion rate. And that’s due to the people you are reaching.

So on LinkedIn, you really can get granular. You can dive right in and get someone to see your ad that works at a certain company, that has a certain title, where in Google Ads you’re kind of shooting broadly. So LinkedIn Ads definitely put you in front of the right people.

All of that being said, LinkedIn might be the right place for you. If you’re using LinkedIn, I’d like to know what you’re finding success with and what your challenges are.
