Forward Push Wins Vega Award for Excellence in Podcast Production

Atlanta based digital marketing agency, Forward Push, has won a coveted Vega Award for excellence in podcast production. The Vega Awards celebrate the best work of digital and creative professionals and marketing agencies from around the globe. The awards are judged by a panel of international industry experts.

“At Forward Push, we have always believed in the power of podcasting to help our attorney clients reach their business goals. There’s something about hearing the voice and experiencing the cadence of speech that makes podcasting such an influential piece of digital media. We are thrilled to be recognized for our production work on The Advocate’s Key podcast among such a worthy slate of competitors,” said Marc Apple, Founder and Strategist at the digital agency.

Forward Push was awarded an Arcturus prize in the single podcasting category for its production of the episode “Keeping Politics and Unpopularity Out of the Courtroom” of The Advocate’s Key podcast.

This episode features a gripping conversation between host J. Scott Key, Esq. and fellow attorney, Frank Hogue. Mr. Hogue served as the defense council for Gregory McMichaels in the shocking Ahmaud Arbery murder in February of 2020.

“The timeliness of this particular episode is what compelled us to enter it into the competition for consideration. This award just validates why we should never shy away from having unexpected, uncomfortable, and authentic conversations about what matters to the people we most want to reach with our client’s messaging. It’s how we advance our clients’ interests in the marketplace of ideas,” said Apple.

Attorney Scott Key came to Forward Push knowing the agency’s podcast production team were experts in digital marketing and especially skilled in creating effective podcast concepts for the legal industry.

After going through the client discovery process with the team at Forward Push, Key felt confident about the new direction for his marketing efforts. “They understood my marketing problem and they worked with me to really figure out what I wanted and needed,” he said.

Key adopted a strategy that is designed to elevate his thought leadership in the legal community and top-of-mind awareness among his peers to grow his base of referral business. Each month on The Advocate’s Key, Key delves into diverse aspects of the practice of law, inviting conversations with some of the industry’s best and brightest.

Other recent topics and guests have included:

  • Former Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court, Keith Blackwell, speaking with Key on “Originalist Textualism 101”
  • Steve Murrin, Esq. “the Biker Lawyer” sharing his successful use of social media to build a legal brand and client base
  • Anna Cross, Esq. who spoke with Key to share tips to help attorneys master trial pacing
  • David Lefkowitz, Esq. a legal malpractice expert who spoke on common pitfalls and administrative missteps to avoid.

With the goal of using his podcast to demonstrate his authority and shed light on important legal industry concerns through engaging conversations with other highly skilled legal professionals, Key is also pleased with the recognition received from the Vega Digital Awards committee.

This year’s award competition featured over 1500 submissions from creatives in over 24 countries, demonstrating the depth of talent in the ever growing and competitive field of digital media. The blind judging was conducted by a panel of over twenty impartial jurors who were guided by rigorous standards to ensure that only the “best of the best” take home a prize.
